Arsenal Suffer Triple Injury Blow Ahead Of Ludogorets & Tottenham Clashes

If reports by and owner Chris Wheatley is anything to go by, then both Nacho Monreal and Santi Cazorla may be missing in action tomorrow when Arsenal take on Bulgarian clubside Ludogorets tomorrow.

According to Chris, both Cazorla and Monreal were not in training for Arsenal today which means both are likely to miss tomorrow’s clash against the Bulgarians. Both players were missing in the Premier league clash on Saturday against Sunderland. Cazorla in particular has been missing since the 6-0 defeat of Ludogorets at the Emirates.

Monreal also missed the two games against Reading in the League cup and the 4-1 defeat of Sunderland last weekend in the Premier league. He reportedly suffered a muscle injury. Initial reports had it that he would be available for the Champions league clash but if Chris Wheatley is right and the Spaniard wasn’t in training today then it is either the injury is more serious than initially thought or Wenger is simply trying to keep his players fresh for the clash against Tottenham next Saturday.

Gibbs who has played in place of Monreal is good enough to get the job done against Ludogorets and with Ramsey back and Xhaka available for selection, Arsenal should have no problem beating the Bulgarians even without Cazorla.

Walcott is another player who is a major doubt for the clash tomorrow. The 27-year-old former Southampton star reportedly trained alone today which means he is still not fully healed from the injury that knocked him out of the Sunderland clash last Saturday.

Personally, I would rather we don’t risk any of the three players against Ludogorets. There are other players in the squad that are good enough to get the job done tomorrow. Wenger shoudl instead keep them in the cooler for the game against Tottenham. That game is way more important than the Champions league clash considering our position in our group in the Champions league.
