New Pires? £25,000-A-Week Set To Sign For Arsenal, The Fans Will Love This

Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi’s career is certainly on the rise. The youngster has been quite a revelation for us since the second half of last season. He currently features in our starting eleven, and that speaks volumes about his talent.

In a news that will delight Arsenal fans, Daily Mirror are reporting that we are set to offer him a new lucrative contract deal. The 20-year-old signed a new contract with us only back in April. The new contract will most certainly bump his current £25,000-a-week wages.

It’s a testimony to his recent form with us that we are considering a new deal for the youngster. Iwobi made his first team debut for us in the 3-0 League Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday. However, it was only towards the end of the season that he broke though Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven.

I remember that he was a surprise inclusion in our starting eleven for Champions League tie against Barcelona at Nou Camp and made a quite an impact that day. He hasn’t looked back since.

This season, he has managed to keep his place in the starting eleven ahead of the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lucas Perez. He has already registered three assists in five league games.

His performance in the 3-0 win over Chelsea won him the MOTM award, and he was recently nominated in the 40-plyaer shortlist for 2016 UEFA Golden Boy award.

We have got quite a talent in Iwobi on our hands. The boy is already making waves at the age of 20, and he will only get better in future.

The Nigeria international has been with us since the age of eight, and I can quite safely say that he has the Arsenal DNA. The player has just made a breakthrough with us, and he is quite rightly enjoying his time.

I don’t think we need to worry about his future at all, but a smart management always makes sure that your best performers are your best-paid employees.

So, I think it’s this thought which has prompted us to offer a new deal to him. It’s certainly, on the club’s part, a way of making Iwobi feel valued at the club.

According to Transfermarkt, Iwobi’s current contract runs until 2020.  I would assume that we will offer a one-year extension with improved wages to the player in his new contract. He has certainly deserved it. There’s no doubt that!
