Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is able to call upon Theo Walcott for the clash against Tottenham today. Which is good news for Arsenal. Theo Walcott has been one of Arsenal’s best players so far this season but has missed the last two games due to an injury problem.
He missed the 4-1 defeat of Sunderland the previous weekend and the hard fought 3-2 win over Bulgarian side Ludogorets in the UEFA Champions League last Tuesday night. Fortunately for us, he is back in full training and likely to start against Tottenham later today.
Arsenal have played an impressive 16 games in all competition without tasting defeat but with Tottenham themselves having a good run ( they are yet to be beaten in 10 games in the league ) in the league, Arsene Wenger need all his best players to be at their best to get the three maximum points.
Walcott alongside Gibbs were seen taking part in full training with Arsenal yesterday ahead of the match. Walcott especially was made to train on his won before yesterday’s training which means there was a big chance he could have altogether missed the match.
Reproduced before are some pictures released by Arsenal.com yesterday which show Walcott and Gibbs in training with the rest of the team.
Arsenal is however looking like they will not be able to call upon the servcies of Santi Cazorla and Monreal for today’s clash. Both players were not seen in any of the training pictures Arsenal released which could mean either the club is deliberately not making them appear in training pictures or both players are not ready for the North London derby today.
It will be a big blow of both Cazorla and Monreal miss the match today. However, we will miss Cazorla more missed since Gibbs can easily replace Monreal but we don’t have any midfielder in the current team that is able to really step into Cazorla’s shoes and play his role like the Spaniard does.
